Of the many critical applications for printing medical devices, one simple device is that of catheters or tubes. At Flow-Eze Company we have the ability to provide circumferential (360°) pad printing to provide excellent visibility of measurments, labels, and other important.
For items that are extremely irregular in nature, flat or non flat surface, have a texture, or are in general a more "three dimensional" part, pad printing is an excellent choice; for imprinting a logo, warnings, or other information on a part. In addition to our expert team with decades of experience, we rely on only the finest, most precise machinery imported from Italy and Germany.
Single Color Pad Printing
For simple jobs that require a one color imprint we offer conventional open ink-well as well as hermetically closed ink cup pad printing on small to medium sized parts.
Multi-Color Pad Printing
We have several production lines that are dedicated to pad printing small to medium sized objects with imprints up to 90mm (~3" dia.), these lines provide up to 4 color in-line printing. In addition have several other production lines capable of imprinting up to 2 colors on your small parts.
Large Format, High-Speed, Multi-Color Pad Printing
With one of the largest pad printing presses in the country available for contract printing we have the ability to provide you with an imprint as large as 150mm (~5" dia.) with up to 5 imprint colors (perfect for jobs that might require a white print underneath the other colors, such as CMYK on a black substrate), all while keeping output high and lowering costs. Additionally, due to the large imprint area by pad printing standards, the machine can print multiple parts up in a nesting fixture to allow for even more output and faster delivery times!
When one hears the technique of screen printing they instantly think of textile printing. While it is true that screen printing of textiles is one use of the process, countless other applications are perfectly suited for screen printing, albeit with some specialized equipment, knowledge, and experience. At Flow-Eze Company we specialize in non-textile screen printing services, such as flat screen printing, cylindrical screen printing, and high-speed cylindrical screen printing on all materials...from plastic, glass, metal, to composites.
Flat Screen Printing
For items that are flat in nature, such as signs, machine housings, EVA foam, machine parts, we have the ability to print multiple colors either with semi-automatic equipment or if required, manually screen print each piece by one of our expert printers.
Cylindrical Screen Printing
Cylindrical screen printing allows for the imprinting of cylindrical, oval, or conical shaped items such as bottles, buckets, cups, mugs, tubes, syringes, and vials...just to name a few. In fact these "bottle" printing machines are commonly referred to as as universal machines for their universal application nature. Our machines are equipped with options such as bottle inflation systems to inflate soft plastic bottles for a quality imprint, to chuck and counterpoint indexing to allow for the successful multi-color registration of 2, 3, 4, or even 5 color imprints.
High-Speed, High-Volume Cylindrical and Oval Screen Printing
For jobs that are high-volume in nature, and require a 1, 2, 3 or 4 color imprint we offer fully automated screen printing that flame treats, prints, and UV cures the bottle at speeds of up to 7,000 parts per hour, while ensuring high-quality. This high-speed machine allows us to much more competitive and results in printing costs in the pennies.
In addition to our multitude of printing services, we recognize that keeping your project from moving from shop to shop is the best way to keep your costs down and ensure you can meet your timelines. We offer light-assembly, sorting, kitting, bagging, labeling, and heat-sealing.
Light-Assembly
The nature of the decorating business is that we're often the last step a product might take before being complete. Many products molded at plastics manufacturers are sent out to a printer such as ourselves and then sent back to the molder or other company for final assembly. Save yourself time and money and let us help you with your light-assembly job. We can work together to outline a procedure for your specific project to ensure a job that is done right the first time. In addition, having us imprint parts that are not yet assembled may have an additional cost saving benefit or being less costly in the case of scrap, or by being more efficient to print unassembled.
Kitting
Having the right pieces together is important, we can kit together imprinted parts with other supplied pieces to make your product complete.
Polybagging
No other method provides a quality impression and protection better than polybagging. We can individually bag your items or bag any number of items per bag per your specifications. For specific quantities we can even provide your product bagged in fully custom, full color process imprinted bags for a great retail look.
Heat-Shrink Sealing
For items that are displayed in retail or where a form fitting protective layer is required we can provide your products with a shrink-wrapped package. Great for items kitted on card stock to items such as drinkware on a retail shelf, heat-shrink sealing is an economical way to make the item itself the "packaging."
Labeling
For retail or other product identification that you don't want printed on the part itself, we can provide pressure sensitive labeling. We can provide short run, one-color labels, as well as fully custom, full-color process labels that are sure to get attention.
Art Design
Need help with your art? We have a complete in-house graphic arts department with a team of artists ready to help you with your project. We can help with taking your existing artwork as well as designing new artwork for your next project.
Sourcing
Have a part you need sourced? We offer in-house sourcing with connections to our ShenZhen, China office.
For applications where it is desired to have 24 karat gold, silver, or other mirror like metallic finishes or opaque color, hot stamping is the best solution. Used frequently for cosmetic packaging, hot stamping is ideally suited for variety of other substrates including paper, leather, vinyl, and plastic.
Semi-Automatic Hot Stamping
We can provide imprints with up to 1 Ton of pressure with images up to 5" x 6".
For that elegant, tone on tone look, nothing captures the essence of the quality of a product like a simple deboss. Primarily utlilized on leather and other textile good, debossing uses heat, pressure, and time to create a lasting image.
Pad Print Fixtures, Hot Stamp Fixtures, Screen Print Bottle and Container Tooling A quality job starts with proper tooling. Likewise, quality and thoughtful tooling design provides for not only holding and supporting of a part for one or more color.
Imprints, but also is an intergral part in ensuring that a job can be done economically. The proper tooling can allow for fast load/unload, and decrease scrap by maintaining parts in registration. In the case of pad printing fixtures, we can even cut cost further by allowing smaller parts to be nested in to a fixture - printing multiple parts up - cutting production by multiples. Tooling allows for faster turnaround times and more precise repeat orders, as each reorder must be run the same way. Many fear tooling can be expensive, it can be with some companies - not at Flow-Eze!
Recently we were requested to produce nearly half-a-million parts in two-colors with a timeframe of less than one month. While our number of production lines allows for this to be easily accomplished - the price point that the customer wished to meet didn't. For that reason we were able to design tooling that utilized one of our largest presses that allowed for nesting multiple parts up. This nesting with the properly designed fixture allowed for 9 times the hourly production rate - achieving a price point that both ourselves and our customer could agree to - without sacrificing quality.
Granted for short runs that may only require one color and be a one time thing - it doesn't make sense to go the expense of specialized tooling. In these cases, if the part allows, we use adjustable fixtures that we designed that are very similiar in concept to an Erecter Set. Additionally, for short runs...and in certain cases for long-runs we use various urethanes to conform to unusual shapes that can be poured rather than machined - saving time and money.
We'd be happy to evauluate and use your current fixtures should you wish to bring your business from a former printer. Likewise, if you need some help designing fixtures for your in-house operation, we'd be glad to help. We can provide manually machined or poured fixtures, as well as CNC machined fixtures by our team of expert machinists at a price that you'll find more than competitive and turned-around in times usually ranging less than a week!
